Ξημερώματα της Τετάρτης πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Hollywood η 80η τελετή για τις Χρυσές Σφαίρες στο The Beverly Hilton της Καλιφόρνια.

Οι μεγάλοι νικητές της βραδιάς ήταν οι ταινίες «Τα Πνεύματα του Ινισέριν» και το «The Fabelmans». Η ταινία του Μάρτιν ΜακΝτόνα κέρδισε αριθμητικά τα περισσότερα καθώς έφυγε με το Καλύτερο Βραβείο στην κατηγορία Μιούζικαλ ή Κωμωδία και η ταινία του Σπίλμπεργκ με δύο, αυτό της καλύτερης ταινίας στη δραματική κατηγορία και το βραβείο καλύτερης σκηνοθεσίας.
